Founded in 1859, Jonesboro has long been a center for progress from its early beginnings as a small logging community known as the City on the Hill of Crowley's Ridge. Today, we are the home of major industry, high-tech medical care and a regional educational hub. We have stellar schools, including Arkansas State University, diverse manufacturing, two expansive hospitals, a medical college, and as many as two dozen banking brands. 

As Mayor of Jonesboro, I want your visit, whether in person or on our website, to be as efficient and responsive as you need it to be. Safety and quality of life are our top concerns, and that means an effective and engaged Police Department & Fire Department with the highest ISO rating achievable, dependable sanitation pick up, clean and safe streets, and parks and recreation opportunities for everyone.
