Propel 2045 is the long-term regional transportation plan for the MPO area. The plan identifies transportation needs and outlines financial resources available to meet those needs over a twenty-five year period. This document is developed every 5 years.

The FY 2024 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) describes the proposed planning activities of the MPO during the current fiscal year 2024 (July 2023-June 2024). This document is prepared annually. 

The FY 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) includes all transportation improvements planned or programmed in the MPO region that will be funded (either fully or partially) with federal dollars. This document is typically developed every 3 to 4 years.

The MPO Public Participation Plan (PPP) was developed to ensure that the transportation planning process complies with federal requirements to incorporate public participation. This document outlines the MPO processes concerning public engagement. 

The N.A.R.T.P.C. adopted the region's first Active Transportation Plan in November 2017. The purpose of the regional active transportation plan is to create a regional vision and strategy for developing a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian network throughout the MPO area.

MPO Safety Action Plan

Toward Net-Zero is the region’s first action plan dedicated to mitigating emissions from vehicles powered by fossil fuels. This plan evaluates overall air quality and the rate of greenhouse gases emitted by vehicles in Craighead County. It also provides a series of actions and strategies to help maintain our air quality while doing our part to combat climate change.

The Move Safe Action Plan provides an evaluation of existing traffic and safety data for Craighead County for the identification and future improvement of critical crash corridors within the region
